Dakota Road House / Steak House & Lounge |
This outstanding 60x80 log cabin structure was built in 1998. The business closed its doors in January 2008, the City of New Rockford and surrounding communities are waiting for the day that it will open again as the city has a need and a desire additional food service businesses. The location is ideal as it sits on a frontage road adjoining US Highway 281. There is a spacious dining room with booths and tables, there is also a banquet room that can be closed off from the dining room. The well designed kitchen has an abundance of grills, stove tops, convection ovens, as well as broasters and deep fryers. There is a large walk-in cooler as well as a walk-in freezer. The kitchen equipment was all new in 1998 with a number of new pieces of equipment added in 2004. The equipment is all in good condition with the initial cost in the $100000 price range. In 2004 the front portion of the dining room was converted to a Sports Bar with the la! test equipment added to make it a viable portion of the business, this addition cost approximately $70000. Everything is still in place for someone to open the doors and start operating. The City of New Rockford is in a Renaissance Zone with some nice financial incentives for a new owner.
